LIFE ATIAS FORM

This Form was created by the Laboratory of Forest Management and Remote Sensing of the School of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the framework of the LIFE ATIAS project (LIFE18 / NAT).

Its purpose is to allow stakeholders to receive and share information about the invasive alien species mink (Neovison vison) and myocastor (Myocastor coypus) but also about the otter (Lutra lutra) which is a protected species in the study area. More specifically, the objectives of the application are:

  • to allow citizens to record species activity using either the site utilizing the map and the question and photo categories it has, or their mobile phones, utilizing the GPS system and the camera.

  • to provide information on invasive alien species mink and myocastors (photos, brief description, additional useful information) for easy identification

  • to actively integrate citizens into the management of invasive alien species through their contribution to their distribution mapping.
